Professional Profile
Jin graduated from the University of Bristol with a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and was admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Singapore in July 2025.
Since joining the firm, Jin has been actively involved in its core practice areas of shipping and commercial litigation. His work includes assisting in significant shipping disputes involving vessel arrests, negotiating settlements on behalf of various parties (such as sub-charterers), and drafting related agreements.
Jin’s experience also extends to both corporate and personal insolvency matters. He has assisted clients, both corporate and individuals, in negotiating settlements following the issuance of statutory demands and advises on various aspects of insolvency-related disputes.
Prior to joining the firm, Jin trained in general litigation, where he gained valuable experience assisting in a variety of domestic and cross-border disputes before the High Court and the State Courts of Singapore. His background covers a broad spectrum of contentious work, including commercial disputes, contested matrimonial matters, and advising directors on alleged breaches of fiduciary duties.
Outside of his legal practice, Jin also enjoys cooking and following the e-sports scene.
