Dispute Resolution: Litigation, Arbitration & Mediation
At DennisMathiew, we recognize that conflict is sometimes unavoidable and when it arises, we stand firmly by our clients, ensuring their rights and interests are protected. As seasoned litigators, we regularly appear in court, representing clients in both shipping and non-shipping disputes.
We also assist in ship arrests, whether for security or as enforcement of maritime claims. Beyond litigation, we are experienced in arbitration, representing clients in complex, multi-party shipping and commercial disputes across institutional and ad-hoc forums. Our expertise covers major arbitration institutions, including SIAC, SCMA, HKIAC, LCIA, LMAA, and the ICC.
That said, not every dispute needs to escalate into litigation. We prioritize holistic resolution strategies, ensuring our clients explore negotiation and mediation where appropriate. Our mediation practice is led by Deborah Koh, a Certified Mediator with the Singapore International Institute of Mediation. She has been involved in dispute resolution since 2012 in the Small Claims Tribunal, Syariah Courts, State Courts, and the Singapore Mediation Centre.
At DennisMathiew, we aim to deliver effective dispute resolution strategies, whether through courtroom advocacy, arbitration or mediation, to secure the best outcomes for our clients.
